Surveillance and monitoring of a theatre of operations requires information to be acquired from a variety of sources.
The tethered helium balloon enables sensors to be deployed at the height required to capture this information.
The trailer is designed to allow the tethered balloon and its accessories to be transported to the required location for deployment. Once inflated, the tethered balloon (airship) enables a sensor to be deployed at a pre-defined height with excellent stability.
The surveillance and monitoring system comprises:
- A converted trailer.

- Fibre optic and coaxial cable data transfer equipment.

Tethered balloon or airship.
The tethered balloon is made from specific fabric coated with low helium permeability. This fabric has been specially developed for use in harsh airship applications. It is highly impermeable to pressurised helium, allowing the balloon to be used for extended periods without the need for re-inflation. The weight of the fabric provides an excellent payload weight / volume ratio. Our aerostat can be folded and unfolded dozens of times.
The airship has a streamlined shape and tail fins providing excellent stability and orientation to the direction of the wind.
