Underwater lifting bags and parachutes for recovery

Closed underwater lifting bags and parachutes

MUSTlift® Closed Lifting Bags are underwater lifting bags, acting as closed underwater parachutes, which can be used for lifting and handling loads in underwater operations.

MUSTlift® Closed Lifting Bags and underwater parachutes are available in several capacities (from 500 to 10.000 kg).

Advantages of closed underwater lifting bag

  • MUSTlift® Closed Lifting Bags are equipped with an inflation valve, 4 handles and a pressure relief valve.
  • Safety is ensured by a draining tube fixed on the bottom of the MUSTlift® Closed Lifting Bags.
  • To ensure a better load distribution, the use of a swingle bar attached to straps is necessary.

Open underwater lifting bags and parachutes

MUSTlift® Open Lifting Bags are underwater lifting bags, acting as open underwater parachutes, which can be used for lifting and raising of loads in underwater operations.

MUSTlift® Open Lifting Bags and underwater parachutes are available in several capacities (from 50 to 30.000 kg).

Advantages of open underwater lifting bag

  • Moving loads.
  • Lifting and raising of loads.
  • Cable lifting.
  • Salvage of wrecks.
  • Test of lifting units such as cranes, etc…

Underwater lifting bags are mainly used in the Marine and Oil and Gas industry. Most of the sunk ships are recovered thanks to closed or open underwater lifting bags.
