Underwater lifting bags
It exists two ranges of underwater lifting bags: closed underwater lifting parachutes and open underwater lifting parachutes. They are used to perform underwater lifting and handlings loads from any depth, lifting cables, lifting ships from the seabed to the surface and load testing of cranes etc …
Closed underwater lifting bags and parachutes
Mustlift® Closed Lifting Bags are acting as closed underwater parachutes, which can be used for lifting and handling loads in underwater operations.
Mustlift® Closed Lifting parachutes are available in several capacities from 500 to 10.000 kg.
Mustlift® underwater Lifting Bags are equipped with an inflation valve, 4 handles and a pressure relief valve.
Safety is ensured by a draining tube fixed on the bottom of the Mustlift® Closed Lifting Bags.
To ensure a better load distribution, the use of a spreader bar attached to straps is necessary.
Open underwater lifting bags and parachutes
Mustlift® Open Lifting Bags are underwater lifting bags, acting as open underwater parachutes, which can be used for lifting and raising of loads in underwater operations to bring loads from the seabed to the surface
Mustlift® Open Lifting Bags and underwater parachutes are available in several capacities from 50 to 30.000 kg.
Mustlift® Open Lifting Bags are made of high tenacity fabrics coated with resin on both sides.
Strong polyester straps secure the Mustlift® Open Lifting Bags with a safety factor of 4.
Reinforcing pieces and eyelets are ingeniously designed to avoid tearing due to the movement of the straps.
Some examples of open underwater lifting bag uses:
- Moving loads.
- Lifting and raising of loads.
- Cable lifting.
- Salvage of wrecks.
- Test of lifting units such as cranes, etc…
Underwater lifting bags are mainly used in the Marine and Oil and Gas industry. Most of the sunk ships are recovered thanks to closed or open underwater lifting bags.
Musthane engineering department designs customized underwater lifting bags and floats.
Underwater lifting bags and parachutes provide the following benefits:
- Easy to use
- Safely supporting and lifting loads
- No maintenance
